Privacy Policy

Short version: anything you load into a tool stays on your device. We never see it.

1. Who we are

Digital Marketing Support (digitalmarketingsupport.org) is run by the Digital Marketing Support team. For any privacy question, use the contact page. We are the “controller” of the small amount of personal data described below.

2. Data you put into the tools

All tools on Digital Marketing Support run inside your web browser. When you choose a file, paste data or fill in a form, your browser reads and processes it on your own device. This data is never sent to our server or to anyone else. We do not store it, we cannot see it, and it is never included in analytics. You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools on the Network tab while you use a tool.

Some tools remember your settings so you do not have to enter them again: for example your default country, time zone or currency, and option values you type, such as your company name or your list of allowed UTM sources. The site also remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. These are saved in your browser's local storage on your device only. They never include the rows of your files, and never IDs or tokens.

When you use a “next step” button to carry data to another tool, the data is kept in your browser (session storage, or IndexedDB for large files) on your device. It is deleted as soon as the next tool reads it, or within an hour if you never open that tool.

You can delete everything the site has saved at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

3. Analytics

When analytics is switched on, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and learn which pages are useful. It collects information such as the pages you view, the website that sent you, your approximate location (city level), and your device and browser type. It never receives anything you load into a tool, and our analytics events never include it. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

4. Advertising

The site shows ads from Adsterra, an advertising network, which keeps the site free. The ads load from Adsterra's servers in your browser, and Adsterra may use cookies or similar technologies to choose and count them. See Adsterra's privacy policy. On tool pages, each ad runs in a separate, sealed frame that cannot see the page around it, so ad code cannot read anything you load into a tool. We never send your tool data to Adsterra or anyone else.

When Google AdSense ads are switched on, they are served by Google, which also keeps the site free. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's Ads Settings and learn more in how Google uses cookies in advertising. Ads never appear inside a tool. We never send your tool data to Google or anyone else.

5. Cookies and consent

The tools themselves do not use cookies. Adsterra ads, and Google Analytics and AdSense when they are switched on, may set cookies. Visitors whose device is set to a European time zone are asked once before Adsterra ads load; if you say no, no Adsterra ads are shown. When Google Analytics or AdSense are switched on, visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are also shown a consent message from a Google-certified consent tool. Until you agree, Google tags run in a restricted “consent mode” that does not store advertising or analytics cookies. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the “Privacy settings” link in the footer.

6. Legal bases (EU and UK visitors)

  • Ads (Adsterra, and AdSense when switched on) and analytics: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time, as described above.
  • Server logs and security: our legitimate interest in keeping the site safe and running.
  • Emails you send us: our legitimate interest in answering you.

7. Emails you send us

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply. Please never email customer lists or other personal data. See the contact page.

8. Hosting and server logs

Our web host may keep standard server logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) for security and to keep the site running. These logs never contain data you load into a tool, because that data never reaches the server.

9. How long data is kept

  • Tool data: never kept by us. It stays on your device until you close or clear it.
  • Analytics data: kept by Google Analytics for the retention period set in our account (no longer than 14 months).
  • Server logs: kept by our web host for its standard period, usually a few weeks.
  • Emails: kept only as long as needed to answer you.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU, the UK GDPR, or US state laws such as California's), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, and to object to or restrict its use. Because the tools do not collect your data, most requests concern analytics and advertising data held by Google. Use the links above, or contact us and we will help. If you are in the EU or UK and are not happy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

11. US state privacy rights

Ad cookies set by Adsterra (and by Google, when AdSense is switched on) may count as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal data under some US state laws. You can opt out by blocking third-party cookies in your browser, through your browser's Global Privacy Control setting where supported, or, for Google ads, in Google's Ads Settings.

12. Children

This site is for businesses and is not aimed at children under 16.

13. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
